Saints go top of the table after a 9-6 home win over new boys, The Dhu. But an upset was looming as they trailed 5-6 with only 4 to play until 2 break and dishes from the talented Shaun McAlister eased the pressure and the hosts ran out 9-6. McAlister and J.McClean both scored a treble. And what a battle was played out in the big derby match in Larne Rangers Club between League Champions The Gers and stablemates Ibrox. It swung back and forward like a pendulum and ended up a point a piece in an 8-8 draw. S.Burns and R.Hawkins both scored 3 for Ibrox but it was N.McKelvey who won the all important 16th frame as both teams remain unbeaten. Honours were also shared between No 1 Blues and Larne FSC in another 8-8 draw. L. Gribben scored 3 for the Blues but it was Larne FSC Captain M.McCowan who secured the point by winning the play off frame. Feathers lost 6-9 at home to the steady No 1 Reds, incredibly they led 5-3 but the No 1 lads won 6 out of the next 7 frames to take both points. S.Beggs scored 3 for Feathers but it was to no avail. Station Bar earned a welcome 2 points as they overcame St Comgalls 10-5 and No 1 Club stay in touch at the top with a similar win at home to Thatch Rockets. The No.1 lads raced into a 7-1 lead and although the Rockets won 4 from the last 7, the damage had already been done. LIPS recorded their first points of the season in style with an 11-4 win over Highfliers at Inver Park.
