It's as you were again at the top of the Larne & District Pool League as the top five kept up their 100% records to open up a three point gap on the chasing pack. Ibrox laboured to 2-2 after the first four frames but then moved up through the gears to record a 12-3 home win over St Comgalls. In the Thatch Bar derby match it was Bryan McWhirter's Champions The Thatch who outdone Thatch Rockets by 10-5. Q.Pool strolled comfortably to a 12-3 win over Freewheelers as did Saints against Station Bar. Feathers came back from 1-3 down at home to Q.Club to seal a solid 10-5 victory whilst No 1 Reds move up to sixth after an 11-4 win at home to Rubys Bar. Nick McClay's Tech Tornadoes took the last three frames of the evening to overcome Gers in a tight encounter. Last but not least new boys Clonlee got their first points on the board with their first win after veteran Liam McCorry won the play off frame courtesy of the cueball dropping in unluckily after a potted black from the No 1 Blues.
After Week 5 in our POTY Table the following players, in no particular order, have been shooting well. Paul Francey - Q.Pool (11-1), Johnny Nelson - Thatch (8-0), Ciaran O'Toole - Station Bar (12-3), Colin Wilson - Gers (11-1), Joe Patton - Feathers (12-3), Stephen Johnston - Ibrox (12-3), Geoff McMichael - Freewheelers (13-2), Shaun McAlister - Saints (9-1) and Neil Campbell - Feathers (10-2)
