What a fantastic match in the Thatch Bar tonight as a play off frame break and dish from Shaun McAlister kept the League title race open with Thatch and Saints sharing the points. Thatch trailed 0-3 but after they drew level at 3-3 there was never more than a frame between the two sides and a draw seems a fair result. Session scores were 2-3, 3-2, 3-2, 0-1. Thatch stay three points clear but Bryan McWhirter knows his team must treat every match like a cup final from now on in. No 1 Club seem to have gone off the boil losing at home for the second week on the trot. This time it was Rubys Rockets who done the damage courtesy of the play off frame for a 9-7 win. Ibrox leapfrog No 1 Club into 3rd spot after a solid win away to Station Bar. The match was delicately poised at 5-5 after the second session but Richard Todd's team took the last 4-1 for an overall 9-6 win. Honours were shared between No 1 Reds and the visiting Q. Club team with the hosts having to win the play off frame to secure a point. Blues trailed 2-8 away to Feathers but very nearly forced a play off frame as they stormed back to 6-8 only to lose out in the 15th frame. St Comgalls keep improving this time it was courtesy of a 9-6 home win over Thatch Rockets and last but not least Stuart Houston's Gers' consolidate sixth position with a comfortable 10-5 win in the derby match against BSQ Rangerswith session scores of 3-2, 2-3 and 5-0.
