8 players have battled through to the Quarter Finals of the Richard Bowen Memorial Trophy. The 8 will play to a finish next Monday night (29th November) in the Eagle Bar, Larne. The No 1 Club excelled, with William Irvine, Ellis Martin and Brian McWhirter progressing to the last 8. Bill McIlroy Sr, last years winner and oldest player in the field, still has a fighting chance of retaining his trophy, whilst Northern Ireland 'A' Team Manager Darren Sterrett is well placed too. The remaining 3 of Ed McDowell (current Larne Individual holder), Alan Johnston (current Larne Individual Runner Up) and Tom McCorry ( Northern Ireland International) are all capable of winning the trophy too, so we are in for a real treat next Monday.The draw will be made before the start of play.
