Week 2 in the Q.Club sponsored Larne & District Pool League and the shocks continue. Champions The Thatch are beaten again, this time by an unfancied St Comgalls team after a play off frame win from Anthony McCorry. Can Bryan McWhirter turn his teams fortunes around before it is too late ? And last season Runners Up Ibrox suffered a derby defeat against stablemates The Gers. In a scrappy match Ibrox looked to be edging their way to both points but Gers rallied to take the final five frames of the match including a Stuart Houston play off frame win to record a 9-7 result. Saints, and Q.Pool both scored heavy wins, both by 14-1 over Freewheelers and Rubys Stars respectively. Feathers followed up last weeks win over the Thatch with a solid 9-6 win against Station Bar whilst Neil McFaul's Q.Club needed a play off frame win courtesy of Aaron Leslie to get over the line at 9-7 at home to No 1 Blues. Last but not least a Conor Matthews play off frame win gave Clonlee their first point of the season against Thatch Rockets in an 8-8 draw.
