Our remaining Individual events took place in the Larne and District Pool League yesterday, Sunday 25th May in the Q.Club.
U15 Individuals
In the inaugural U15 event, 13 cueists took part with many making their first competitive competition appearance. It would be Ben Penney who would lift the title with a 5-4 victory over Kai McWhirter in a nail biting final. Credit to Kai who came back from 4-1 down but Ben would hold his nerve to pot a fine black.

U18 Individuals
There were 12 participants in the U18 event with a new name guaranteed on the trophy. A few U15s tried their hand at this and there were noticeable performances from Kain and Kai McWhirter. Kain got his way to the semi finals and Kai gave Northern Ireland u18 star Joel Quinn a tough battle in the quarters. It would be Quinn who would get his hands on the trophy though with a 5-2 win over the ever improving Lewis Millar.

U23 Individuals
There were 8 entries in the Under 23 section and it was good to see a couple of new names in it who have just started playing pool with the hope of playing next season in the League. The tie off the first round was an all Quinn clash between Joel and Jake with Jake edging the last frame in a good quality battle. Robbie Holden would comfortably come through the other half to set up a final with Jake. Unfortunately Jake never got going like he can and Robbie was ruthless to take the title with a 5-1 win. Another title in what has been a good year for Robbie.
