After last weeks reverse Pigeon Club turned on the style to get back to winning ways at home to Ibrox in Week 16 of the Larne & District Pool League 2017-2018 season. Four break and dishes (two for Ryan McKillop and two for Shaun McAlister) gave the visitors an uphill task, and though they fought hard it was Bryan McWhirter's team who took both points to stay top of the table. Title contenders Q.Pool took a while to get going but they comfortably seen off Clonlee in the end by 12-3 and remain very much in the title mix moving into second spot ahead of Gers. Gers great recent run was brought to an end in an exciting match at home to Feathers. The Pigeon Club side won 9-6 and have now beaten first and second placed teams in consecutive weeks. Feathers are now fourth ahead of Ibrox on frame difference. Freewheelers, bouyed by some new signings at the Christmas break, took both points in an exciting 9-7 win at home to Station Bar. Man of the match goes to Corey Burleigh who won the sixteenth and deciding frame to give himself four from four on the night. Rubys Stars leapfrog Blues on the League table after beating them by 10-5. An eight frame burst mid match ensured Nick McClay's team took both points. St Comgalls v Q.Club was postoned to April 12th and Thatch Rockets had a bye.
