Ibrox won the big Rangers Club derby match but Gers pushed them all the way to the final frame. In the St Comgalls Club derby match title hopefuls The Saints eased past stablemates St Comgalls 10-5. Champions The Thatch started the defence of their title with an untroubled 12-3 home win over new team Tech Tornadoes whilst another new team, Q.Pool seen of No 1 Blues by 10-4. Clonlee, also newcomers, went down 13-2 to a much strengthened Feathers side in the Pigeon Club whilst No 1 Reds started off well with a 9-6 success at home to Q.Club. Station Bar ousted new boys Freewheelers whilst Thatch Rockets defeated our final new team Rubys Bar by 11-4.
