Thatch Bar took to the green baize tonight as the new 2014/2015 Larne & District Pool League Champions but unfortunately for Bryan McWhirter's team a great performance from the No 1 Club means that Thatch won't go through their whole League campaign unbeaten. A 9-7 win after a play off frame moves the No 1ers up to third spot in the table after Ibrox crashed 5-10 at home to an excellent performance from Saints. Feathers overcame Rubys Rockets 9-6 in the Pigeon Club with session scores of 5-0 2-3 2-3 whilst Station Bar and Q.Club battled out an 8-8 draw. Station trailed 4-6 but it was the Q.Club who had to win the 16th frame to secure a point a piece. Gers, hoping to finish 5th had a more than comfortable 10-5 win away to No 1 Blues and last but not least No 1 Reds, also with ambitions of 5th spot strolled to a 12-3 away victory at St Comgalls.
