After Frame 5 in the big clash of 1st v 2nd in League Week 12 of the Larne & District Pool League, it looked like we would have new leaders at the end of the night as the No 1 Club led Thatch by 4-1. But what happened next was incredible as Thatch showed just why they are Champions as they reeled off 10 in a row including 2 break and dish's and 3 eight ball clearances. It puts Thatch 3 points clear at the top with only one fixture to go before the Xmas break. And it got even better for Bryan McWhirters team when news filtered through from the St Comgalls Club that Ibrox had won the Play Off Frame to take a point off 3rd placed Saints. No 1 Reds consolidated 5th spot with a comfortable 10-5 result at home to St Comgalls, whilst Gers stay 6th after a 12-3 demolition of No 1 Blues in the Rangers Club. Q. Club had a fantastic win, 13-2 against a shellshocked Station Bar team whilst Feathers travelled the short journey to Rubys Rockets and came away with both points courtesy off a 9-6 win. And last but not least Thatch Rockets defeated BSQ Rangers 9-6 in the battle off the bottom 2 to keep the young Rangers team firmly rooted at the foot of the table.
