Well done to the No 1 Club's William Irvine. The U23 player reached the Final of the NIPA Masters Invitational at the weekend past only to lose out to probably the best Pool player Northern Ireland has ever seen, Ronan McCarthy. It was a good weekend for players from the town as we had three cueists in the last four of the event, the other two being Thatch's Alan Johnston and Saints' Dean McDonagh.

And good luck this Sunday to Thatch Bar and No 1 Club. The pair are the Larne League representatives in the NIPA Champions of Champions Event being held in the Swift Bar Carrickfergus. Bryan McWhirters Thatch team are defending Champions in what will be a very competitive field full off top players.
