LEAGUE WEEK 15 RESULTS
THURSDAY 27th FEBRUARY

Blues 6-9 Station Bar
Clonlee 3-12 Lorraine's Flyers
Dirty Dozen 5-10 St Comgalls
Five Plus One 9-6 Q.Tips
Ibrox 12-3 Eight Ball Army
Q.Stix 6-9 Q.Stars

What an incredible comeback we had in the big clash in the Larne & District Pool League Week 15. Top of the table Five Plus One trailed 0-5 against a very strong Q.Tips side and it looked like we would have new leaders as second placed Ibrox were winning comfortably in their fixture. But whatever Manager Bryan McWhirter said to his troops after that first session definitely worked as they came right back taking nine out of the remaining ten frames to seal a famous victory and remain in pole position. Fantastic stuff from the leaders.
Ibrox themselves were in fine form as they seen off third placed Eight Ball Army, session scores of 4-1, 5-0 and 3-2 gave the Rangers Club side a 12-3 win and they remain in second spot one point adrift of Five Plus One.
Nick McClay's Q.Stars won the last three frames of their match against Q.Stix to secure both points in what had been a very tight derby match. Session scores for the victors were 3-2, 2-3 and 4-1.
Alex Irvine's Blues put up a brave fight at home to Station Bar racing into a 3-0 lead but the Railwaymen stormed back taking eight out of the next nine racks and although Blues registered another double the points went to Station courtesy of a final frame win by Captain Micky O'Boyle.
St Comgalls laboured early on away to Marty Kane's Dirty Dozen. But they took control of the match and eventually seen it out by 10-5. Session scores for Paul Smyth's team were 2-3, 4-1 and 4-1.
Last but not least Ian McCalmont's Lorraine's Flyers notched up their fourth win of the season away to Clonlee. The home team started brightly taking the first two racks but Lorraine's moved up through the gears losing only one more on the night finishing with an impressive 12-3 win
