After Doubles and Three A Sides the past few weeks league action resumed tonight in the Larne and District Pool League as we head towards the business end of the season. But it's as you were at the top with the leading three teams all registering wins. Bryan McWhirter's Five Plus One travelled to and seen off a determined Station Bar side managed by Micky O'Boyle by 10-5 with session scores of 3-2, 3-2 and 4-1 whilst Robert Hawkins's Ibrox recorded the same scoreline away to Ian McCalmont's Lorraine's Flyers helped greatly by winning the first six racks of the match. Session scores for the Rangers Club team were 5-0, 2-3 and 3-2.  John Kerr's third placed Eight Ball Army had another impressive win, this time it was by 11-4 at home to Marty Kane's Dirty Dozen with scores of 4-1, 2-3 and 5-0. St Comgalls go clear in fourth spot, Paul Smyth's lads being relatively untroubled in an 11-4 home win against Alex Irvine's Blues. The hosts did trail 1-2 early doors but took ten out of the remaining twelve frames to secure both points. Hugo Manson's Q.Tips lost further ground going down 6-9 at home to Alan Johnston's Q.Stix. The match was closely poised at 6-5 to the visitors who then went on to win the next three racks and ensure the two points. Nick McClay's Q.Stars stay in touch with a solid 10-5 win over Francie Gribben's Clonlee. Session scores for the hosts were 3-2, 4-1 and 3-2.
