CONGRATULATION TO PIGEON CLUB POOL TEAM. In the big clash between first and second tonight in the Larne & District Pool League it was the League leaders Pigeon Club who came out on top by 9-6 after a keenly contested match against The Gers a result that confirms Bryan McWhirter's team are Champions. Q.Pool raced into an 8-1 lead away to St Comgalls and although the hosts took four from the remaining six racks the damage had been done and the visitors left with both points in a 10-5 win. A great match unfolded between Q.Club and Feathers in the Q.Club, it finished 8-8 with Alan Corrigan winning four from four on the night including the all important play off frame. Rubys Stars won their derby match against Freewheelers but only just, they needed a Sean Davison play off frame win to register a 9-7 win. Station Bar had a comfortable win over Clonlee, Micky O'Boyle's team running out 10-5 victors and last but not least Blues entertained Thatch Rockets and honours were shared in an exciting 8-8 draw, Ryan Scott winning Frame 16 for the hosts. Ibrox had a bye tonight.
