Well, it's finally over and what a fantastic campaign it has been. The Q.Club sponsored 2016-2017 season Larne League Champions are the Thatch Bar. After a season of so many twists and turns Bryan McWhirter's team made no mistakes in their must win match against Q.Club romping home 12-3 with Johnny Nelson winning the all important tenth frame of the match which sealed the deal for the Thatch. Can anyone stop them next season as they attempt to make it five successive Championships on the trot, rumours of player signings are already out there for the chasing pack. Elsewhere tonight Saints and Feathers done their bit winning 13-2 and 10-5 away to Rubys and Ibrox respectively and although it was to no avail both teams had great seasons both finishing just one point behind the Champions. Q.Pool finished fourth, they destroyed Thatch Rockets 13-2 whilst Gers will have the bragging rights in the Rangers Club as they overtook Ibrox to finish fifth. Q.Club come in seventh and Rubys Stars eighth. Station Bar had a 9-6 home win against the young No 1 Blues team whilst last but not least the derby match between Clonlee and St Comgalls went the way of the latter after a play off frame gave them a 9-7 win.
