Well, we have reached the half way mark in the Q.Club sponsored Larne & District Pool League, though some teams have re-arranged fixtures to catch up on before the League programme resumes on Thursday 5th January. And although they didn't win tonight the atmosphere in the Pigeon Club is still bouyant as leaders Feathers once again dug out a result when all look lost. This time they trailed 5-8 to last seasons Runers Up Ibrox but won the last two frames of the match to force a play off frame. Neil Campbell duly obliged once again to rescue a point in a pulsating 8-8 draw. Thatch Bar close the gap though to four points with a game in hand courtesy of an 11-4 away win against Neil McFaul's Q.Club side. Saints continue their good recent form, this time thrashing a bemused Rubys Stars team 14-1 whilst Stuart Houston's Gers stay fifth after a comfortable 12-3 win over Freewheelers. No 1 Blues move two points clear of Station Bar after beating them 10-5 whilst Q.Pool had too much for Thatch Rockets running out easy 12-3 winners. And last but not least in the St Comgalls Club derby match it was St Comgalls who took the bragging rights with a 9-6 win over stablemates Clonlee.
