Three re-arranged fixtures were played tonight in the Q.Club sponsored Larne & District Pool League. Champions Thatch Bar move ominously to within two points of leaders Feathers after a convincing 10-5 away win over Q.Pool. In the much anticipated match Thatch raced out of the blocks in devastating fashion taking an 8-1 lead to guarantee themselves at least a point and although Q.Pool took the next four on the trot Bill McIlroy Sr and Gerry McCorry sealed the deal for Thatch in the last two frames. Q.Pool's Neil McKelvey who is usually the one handing out break and dishes was on the receiving end of two and in his third frame he was left with all seven colours. Dean McDonagh's Saints keep their recent unbeaten run going with a 10-5 win over Neil McFaul's Q.Club. They led 6-4 after the second session but moved up a gear in the last to take it 4-1 and move up to third position in the table. In the lower half of the table Thatch Rockets won their second match in a row this time a 10-5 home success over the No 1 Blues, session scores were 4-1, 3-2, 3-2.
