Congratulations to The Thatch Bar. There were no nerves from Bryan McWhirter's team as they easily seen off lowly Clonlee to become the Q.Club sponsored 2016 Larne & District Pool League Champions. Their win guarantees them a spot in the NIPA Champions of Champions 5 person team event in June, an event which will actually be hosted in Larne this year in the Q.Club. Richard Todd's Ibrox finish League Runners Up even though they went down by 10-5 away to Feathers who ended a good season in an impressive third position. Q.Pool finish fourth with the help of a 9-6 win over Tech Tornado's whilst long time leaders Saints came in fifth after going down 6-9 to the young No 1 Blues lads. Q.Club romped to a 14-1 win away to Rubys Bar who pick up the Wooden Spoon in their debut season whilst Gers finished well picking up both points at home to Freewheelers in a 9-6 victory as did St Comgalls with an easy 11-4 away win against No 1 Reds. Last but not least, Thatch Rockets travelled to Station Bar and came away with both points courtesy of the play off frame with Captain Jean McIlroy scoring 4/4 on the night.
