Saints, visibly shaken after last weeks first defeat of the season at Station Bar, got their title challenge back on track with a comfortable 11-4 win at home to basement team Rubys Bar in the Q.Club sponsored Larne & District Pool League. Still relentless pressure coming from The Thatch though as the defending Champions remain just one point adrift off the leaders after a solid win at home to Freewheelers, also by 11-4. Ibrox stay in third spot with a 10-5 success against Q.Club in the Rangers Club whilst Feathers get back to winning ways ousting the Thatch Rockets by 10-5 in the Pigeon Club. For the second week running Station Bar showed no fear of opposition in the top four, they led Q.Pool 8-7 only to be denied both points after losing out in the play off frame. Points were also shared in the LTOB Club as the Tornadoes and the No 1 Blues battled out an honourable draw, Aaron Rolston was the hero for the young Blues lads, the 14 year old scoring four from four on the night including the all important play off frame. Gers jump two places up to seventh courtesy of a convincing 10-5 away win againsy No 1 Reds and last but not least in the derby march St Comgalls overcame stablemates Clonlee 11-4 to claim the bragging rights in the Club until at least next season anyway.

Yet another hat trick from Johnny Nelson sees the Thatch cueist on an incredible 46/52 frames. With lots of the top teams meeting in the coming weeks the question is can anyone catch the long time leader ? Ellis Martin and Ryan McKillop also notched hat tricks on the night to keep it interesting indeed.
