Q.Club 10-5 No 1 Reds

Freewheelers 2-13 Station Bar

Saints keep their three point lead at the top of the Q.Club sponsored Larne & District Pool League - but only just. Stablemates St Comgalls took them the full distance to the play off frame in the derby match only to lose out to reigning Player of the Year Shaun McAlister. Thatch keep piling the pressure on, they strolled to an impressive 13-2 away win over a stunned Tech Tornadoes team. Q.Pool also kept in touch with a solid 10-5 win over the young No 1 Blues, whilst Hugo Manson's Feathers steamrolled Clonlee by 13-2. In the Rangers club derby match it looked like Ibrox were in for a tricky night as they trailed 2-3 after the first session but an amazing ten frame burst seen them overcome the Gers by 12-3. Q.Club outfought No 1 Reds by 10-5 and move up to 6th in the table whilst Station Bar showed what they are capable of with a 13-2 thrashing of Freewheelers in the Pigeon Club. Last but not least a big well done to Ruby's Bar who registered their first win of the season courtesy of a play off frame success away to Thatch Rockets. Ruby's still remain bottom but will be hoping to push on and avoid the dreaded wooden spoon.
