Thatch v Bye

In the big Rangers Club derby match it was Stuart Houston's Gers who took the honours after the match went into a play off frame. It was a frustrating night for Ibrox as they led 5-2 then lost five on the trot to trail 5-7 before pulling it back to 7-7. But Gers held their nerve best to win frames 15 and 16 to claim all 3 points, Neil McKelvey winning the all important play off frame. With Thatch Bar having a bye this week, Saints and No 1 Club also took advantage to close the gap at the top with big wins of 13-2 apiece. No 1 outgunned Thatch Rockets with the help of hat tricks from Ellis Martin and Eddie Gribben and Saints hammered Dhu with trebles from Shaun McAlister, Dean McDonagh and Bill McIlroy Jr. Larne FSC and No 1 Blues played out an exciting 8-8 draw whilst No 1 Reds keep improving, this time they won 9-6 at home to Feathers. Highfliers overtake LIPS at the bottom end of the table thanks to a 9-6 win in the Pigeon Club. And last but not least, Station Bar had Mickey O'Boyle to thank as he won the ultimate frame of the match to earn his team a point away to St Comgalls.
