Thatch won five frames in a row to reach the magic eight to see off stablemates Thatch Rockets. Feathers had a titanic struggle with Cup holders The Gers but progressed to the next round thanks to a fantastic cut on the black by Jeff Hagan in the deciding frame of the match. No 1 Club struggled early on but eventually moved up a gear to see of No 1 Reds in the derby match. Ibrox, Saints, St Comgalls and Station Bar all had comfortable wins to progress into the last eight of the Competition whilst No 1 Blues take their place courtesy off having drawn a bye.
