Thatch steamrolled Larne FSC 13-2 to consolidate their position at the top of the Larne & District Pool League. There were hat tricks apiece for Gerry McCorry, Colin Montgomery and team Captain, Bryan McWhirter. Saints stay 2nd after ousting near rivals Ibrox by a 10-5 scoreline, they won all 3 sessions 4-1, 3-2 and 3-2 with Paul McAlister scoring 2/2. Kenny English scored a fine treble for Ibrox as they lose ground amongst the top 5. Gers thrashed St Comgalls 13-2 away from home, session scores were4-1, 5-0, 4-1 with Aaron Wright, Lee Hogg and team Captain Stuart Houston all bagging hat tricks. No 1 Club had a scare against lowly Highfliers as the match went into a play off frame. But up stepped the reliable Ellis Martin to secure all 3 points for the No. 1 outfit. In the No 1 Club derby match it was Alex Irvine's Blues who took the honours as they overcame Reds by 9-6 to leapfrog their stablemates in the League standings.. Station Bar also won by a 9-6 scoreline at Inver Park against LIPS. Last but not least, Hugo Manson's Feathers had an easy 13-2 win away to Thatch Rockets. For anyone interested in Larne Pool League stats, all tonight's matches were away wins.

Next Thursday sees a break from League action with the 1st Round of the Knock Out Cup. All teams except No 1 Blues who have a bye, will do battle in the St Comgalls Club, with the draw being made at 7.30pm in the Club.
