Ibrox v Bye
Gers, Saints and Thatch all move on to 6 points at the top of the table. Reigning Champions The Gers had a comfortable win over LIPS with Aaron Wright and David Kernoghan both scoring hat tricks. In the St Comgalls Club derby match Saints won the first two sessions 5-0 and eventually ran out 13-2 victors. Thatch got things a bit tighter only getting the better of the No 1 Reds by 9-6 with stalwart Alan Johnston scoring the maximum 3/3. Title hopefuls, No 1 Club got back on track after a reverse last week, with a solid 11-4 win away to Feathers. The match started off very slow and was poised at 4-3 to the visitors looking as if it could go all the way, but the home side only won one frame in the last 8. Best for Feathers were Jeff Hagan and Stephen Peoples both scoring 2/3 and for the No 1 Club Barney Hylands and Eddie Gribben both scored 3/3. Thatch Rockets won 12-3 at No 1 Blues but it could have been much closer if the young Blues team had taken the chances they carved out in a lot of the frames. Alan Corrigan scored a hat trick for the visitors. New boys Dhu got their first point on the board at home to Larne FSC. It could have been both points as they led going into the play off frame. But the experienced Alastair Law won it to ensure a point each. Station Bar registerd their first points of the new season with a convincing 11-4 win over new boys Highfliers. Ibrox had a bye this week.
