A fantastic match unfolded in the Q.Club where Hugo Manson's Q.Tips entertained Nick McClays Q.Stars. The away side led 7-4 and the hosts would probably have been more than happy if they were offered a draw at that stage of the game. Q.Tips then proceeded to reel off the final four racks of normal play courtesy of two a piece from the Carson brothers to lead 8-7 and take the match into a Play Off Frame. Alas, they had to settle for that point after Neil McKelvey delivered in the final frame for Q.Stars to confirm an 8-8 draw. Leaders Five were untroubled by Q.Club running off the first eight frames before dropping one. The two points were confirmed in the next rack and Bryan McWhirter's side went on to register a 12-3 home win. Thatch Rockets gave Ibrox a lot to think about early doors when they travelled up to the Rangers Club. Ali Law's team led 3-2 after the first session but two 4-1 wins in the remaining two gave Michael Wilsons lads a 10-5 success. St Comgalls are still well in the title race moving clear into second position after they disposed of Freewheelers 10-5 though like Ibrox they had to overcome a first set loss (2-3, 4-1, 4-1). Alex Irvine's Blues got back to winning ways seeing off a determined Lorraine's team by 10-5, session scores in Blues win were 3-2, 4-1 and 3-2. Last but not least tonight Clonlee moved to within one point of Station Bar after they travelled to the railway venue and came away with both points in an exciting 9-7 win. Hero off the hour for Clonlee was Danny McKendry who was victorious in the Play Off Frame.
