Thursday 27th September

Ibrox 11-4 Clonlee
Five 11-4 Blues
Q. Stars 12-3 Lorraine's Flyers
Q. Tips 9-6 Freewheelers
St Comgalls 9-6 Thatch Rockets
Station Bar 7-9 Q. Club

Nick McClay's Q. Stars recorded the biggest win of the night, a resounding 12-3 home success over League newcomers Lorraine's Flyers. Session scores were 4-1, 4-1 and 4-1 and there were hat tricks for Q. Stars' Drew Niblock and their two Northern Ireland Under 18 cueists Aaron Rolston and Ryan Marcus. Tam Hagan was in fine form for the visitors scoring two from three.

Five had too much strength at home to Blues, although the away side started well being level after four frames it ended up a convincing 11-4 to Bryan McWhirters' side. Ibrox overcame a gutsy Clonlee side in the Rangers Club running out 11-4 victors on the night. Freewheelers put up a spirited performace at a strong Q. Tips side but it was the home team who eventually got over the line for another two important points. Thatch Rockets also impressed away to St Comgalls and the hosts were relieved to see Martin McCormick win Frame 15 to save the match from going into a Play Off Frame. And what a match unfolded in the Station Bar where Micky O'Boyle's hosts raced into a quick 4-0 lead against Ryan Scotts Q. Club, but the visitors dug deep coming back to lead 8-7 and to take the match into a sixteenth rack. Up stepped Scott himself to lead by example and secure both points for his Q. Club team.
