Gers title hopes are still very much alive and kicking in the Larne & District Pool League after a fantastic result away to fellow title challengers Q.Pool. Stuart Houston's side were in trouble after the second session trailing 6-4 but four racks in the final set gave them an 8-7 advantage going into the Play Off frame. Up stepped Dean McDonagh to pot the final black of the match and secure a vital two points for the Rangers Club team. Meanwhile League leaders Pigeon Club struggled early doors but their strength in depth eventually seen them to a 9-6 success to stay in top spot. Ibrox consolidated fourth spot with a comfortable win at home to Station Bar and Feathers recorded a similar scoreline seeing off a gutsy Thatch Rockets side who were holding their own at 4-4 after eight frames. Jordan Peoples' Freewheelers leapfrog Clonlee into eleventh spot after a convincing 12-3 home win. St Comgalls move up to ninth above Rubys Stars after a tough 9-6 win over Blues.
