The match of the night was up in the Rangers Club where Stuart Houston's Gers took a point off League leaders Pigeon Club. In a fantastic game Pigeon looked to be heading for both points as they raced into a 6-2 lead but Gers have a resilience about them this season and reeled off five racks on the trot to lead 7-6. Pigeon rallied again to take the next two and force a play off frame but it was Gers' young Ryan Marcus who was the hero of the hour when he potted the final black off the night to earn his side a valuable point. Feathers had too much for Neil McFaul's Q.Club, at 3-3 Hugo Manson's team took seven from the final nine racks to register two points on the table. Q.Pool were untroubled by St Comgalls and ran out 11-4 winners, a result that puts them level on points with the Pigeon Club at the top. What a match it should be next week as the top two clash for the first time this season. Blues move up to eighth after a solid 9-6 away win at Thatch Rockets, Alex Irvine's side were never behind in the fixture as they complete back to back wins. And last but not least Micky O'Boyle's Station Bar put two welcome points on the board at Clonlee. The home sides recent good form looked to be continuing as they led 4-1 but Station finally got out of the traps to win the match by 10-5.
