There were no shocks on the opening night of the 2017-2018 Larne & District Pool League. Champions Thatch who are now playing under the name of Pigeon Club after having moved venues, scored fifteen without reply at Clonlee, a statement of intent from Bryan McWhirters team. Gers, Ibrox and Q.Club all had comfortable 12-3 wins over Blues, Freewheelers and Thatch Rockets respectively whilst Feathers and Q.Pool got it a bit tighter but both still ran out 9-6 winners over St Comgalls and Rubys Stars. Station Bar had a Bye this week.
