Q.Pool sit proudly on top of the Larne & District Pool League after a pulsating 9-7 win over Feathers. Two very strong teams took to the baize but it was William Irvine's side who took both points coming back from 0-3 down to edge it in a play off frame finale. Hero of the hour was Gary Wallace who won Frame 16 to make it four from four on the night. Meanwhile Champions Thatch were also involved in a titanic struggle against Neil McFaul's Q.Club team. Thatch took the initiative heading into the play off frame and they led 8-7 but Q.Club's Aaron Leslie was very relieved when his opponent potted both black and white to level the scores at 8-8, both teams gaining a hard earned point. Station Bar made it three wins from three fixtures as they took the last four frames to beat St Comgalls by 10-5 whilst in the Rangers Club derby match Stuart Houston's Gers continue to have the upper hand over stablemates Ibrox as they registered a solid 9-6 success. Jordan Peoples' Freewheelers notched up their first win with a convincing 10-5 victory over second bottom Thatch Rockets, secured by a six frame burst at the business end of the match. Last but not least Nick McClay's Rubys Stars moved onto three points on the table with an easy 12-3 win against basement team Clonlee. Alex Irvine's Blues had a bye this week.
