What a fantastic night for Rubys Stars. Thatch Bar going for a League and Cup double were expected to reach the Final against mid table Rubys in this Q.Club sponsored Knock Out Cup Semi Final. But Nick McClays braves undoubtably pulled off one of the results of the season. Session scores in the match were (Thatch first) 2-3, 3-2, 2-3, with Stephen Peoples completing a memorable hat trick to win the 15th and deciding frame of the match. In the other Last 4 tie, a very close match was expected between Q.Pool and Saints but its was Dean McDonagh's Saints who prevailed 8-4 and are still on course to retain the Cup they hold from last season. Session scores were (Q.Pool first) 1-4, 3-2, 1-2.
