Q.Club 9-6 Station Bar

St Comgalls 5-10 Ibrox
Gers 13-2 Clonlee
Thatch Rockets 10-5 Freewheelers
Saints 9-7 Q.Pool

Two huge fixtures were the main talking points of the night in the Q.Club sponsored Larne & District Pool League. In a mighty clash between first and second Thatch Bar were relieved to come away with a point from the Pigeon Club, they needed to win the play off frame to stop Hugo Manson's Feathers opening up a four point gap. But a draw is still a great result for Feathers as they now have the head to head results advantage over Thatch should the two be tied at the top at the end of the season. The second titanic clash of the evening seen Saints record a vital win over a new look Q.Pool team with new signings Aaron Rolston and Joe Patton making their debuts. Q.Pool excelled as they took a 7-4 lead needing just one of the last five possible frames to secure a point but Saints showed why they are still serious Championship contenders as they reeled off the last five in a row including a Ryan Foster play off frame which keeps them right in the title race. Foster was outstanding winning four from four on the night. Ibrox took six of the first seven frames away to St Comgalls and although the home side rallied with four from the next five Ellis Martin secured both points for Ibrox in Frame 14. But St Comgalls will be bouyed by the return of Anthony McCorry after a four week absence, the 2012 League Player of the Year was straight back in with a classy hat trick. Q.Club trailed Station Bar 2-4 but a six frame burst earned them at least a point, this was increased to two when Aaron Leslie won the last frame of the match for a 9-6 win. Thatch Rockets had too much for Freewheelers winning 10-5 with session scores of 4-1 2-3 & 4-1. Rubys Stars had Davy Magill to thank, the Carnlough man won four from four on the night including the all important Play Off frame to just edge out the No 1 Blues in a 9-7 win and last but not least Stuart Houston's Gers were untroubled as they demolished bottom team Clonlee 13-2.
