Just when we thought we had seen it all in the Q.Club sponsored Larne & District Pool League, it took another twist last night when it looked odds on that reigning Champions Thatch Bar would close in at the top as they romped to a 13-2 against Rubys Stars who were definitely seeing stars after this result. Meanwhile leaders Feathers trailed 5-7 at Q.Pool who only needed one more frame to secure at least a point, but Feathers as they have done so many times before dug down and deep and took the next three to force a play off frame which Andy Arbuthnot duly won to give Hugo Manson's team an invaluable two points in their quest to become League Champions. Manson's lads have now won four matches by 9-7 and three by 9-6, great resilience indeed. Ibrox stay third after a convincing 11-4 home win over Station Bar whilst stablemates The Gers move to fifth courtesy of a similar scoreline away to Thatch Rockets. Don't rule Saints out of it yet, Dean McDonagh's side registered their second win in two days, this time a 10-5 success at home to St Comgalls. Q.Club demolished Freewheelers 14-1 whilst last but not least No 1 Blues recorded their fourth win of the season 11-4 at Clonlee.
