In the big match off the night, the No 1 Club inspired by a fantastic showing from Ellis Martin, were winners after a play off frame away to The Gers. Martin won 4/4 including the all important 16th frame which gave his team a 9-7 victory. Session scores were (Gers first) 1-4, 3-2, 3-2, 0-1. Ibrox remain the only unbeaten team in the league after a solid 10-5 win away to Dhu but it is Thatch Bar who remain top after an emphatic 12-3 win at home to St Comgalls, helped to no end by a brek and dish from Bill McIlroy sr and two eight ball clearances from Jonny Nelson. Saints too had a big 13-2 win to stay very much in the title race. No 1 Blues won for the second week on the trot, this time 11-4 against LIPS, session scores were 4-1, 3-2, 3-2 with Lee Gribben notching up a hat trick. Feathers and Station Bar fought out an 8-8 draw, the railway men trailed 4-8 and looked to be heading for defeat but they took the final 4 frames for a deserved point with Steven Morgan winning the 16th and final frame of the match. Highfliers won the battle off the bottom two, to move 4 points clear off rivals Larne FSC. Gareth McIlroy's No 1 Reds had a bye this week.
