Thatch Pool Team lead the table at the half way mark of the season after an importantant 10-5 away win over fellow title contenders and reigning champions the Gers. Thatch led 5-2 but when Gers took 3 on the trot to level at 5-5 it looked like the match would go the distance for the watching crowd. But Bryan McWhirters lads reeled of all of the final 5 frames to be in pole position going into the second half of the season. Richard Todd's Ibrox Team go second after a comfortable win at Inver Park against LIPS and after stablemates Gers defeat Ibrox are now the only unbeaten team left in the League. Highlight of the match was a Dessie Cooper quickfire break and dish in just over a minute. Thatch Rockets put on one of their best displays of the season so far with a convincing 11-4 win over No 1 Reds, session scores were 4-1, 3-2 and 4-1 and there were hat tricks for Hugh McMurtry and Vincent Barkley. Saints stay very much in touch at the top with an 11-4 win away to No 1 Blues, Paul McAlister notched a hat trick on the night.
