Larne's Ryan Marcus is the new 2019 European Blackball Association Under 23 Nations Cup Individual Champion. The young Five Plus One cueist beat all before him to lift the trophy at the event in Cyprus overcoming Malta's Owen Amato by 5-3 in the Final. It's a fantastic achievement for the young man and a just reward for all the hours of practice he puts in on the green baize in his local venue the Q.Club. Earlier this season he lifted the Northern Ireland Under 18 crown, the sky really is the limit for Ryan in the years ahead if he keeps improving as he has been.
And a big well done to Q.Stars player and local girl Maryjo McCourt who was outstanding as part of the Northern Ireland side that won the Ladies Team Event beating Wales in the Semi Final and England in the Final both by a resounding 13-5 scoreline.
A great double for our League and town.
