Ibrox put last weeks bad start to the season behind them with a 9-6 away win over Q.Stars. The match was locked at 4-4 before the visitors won five on the trot to secure both points on the night. Q.Tips who had beaten Ibrox in Week 1 kept the momentum going with a solid performance in a 12-3 home win over Clonlee. Session scores for Hugo Manson's Tips were 3-2, 4-1 and 5-0. John Kerr's Eight Ball Army make it two wins from two with a home win over Lorraine's Flyers. Flyers led 3-2 after the first session but once the Army got their noses in front they didn't let up and ran out 10-5 victors with session scores of 2-3, 4-1  and 4-1. Over in the Station Bar new side Q.Stix outpotted the hosts in an 11-4 win. It was tight enough after two sessions but the visitors moved up a gear in the third winning all five racks to close out the match and take both points.  Last match of the night to finish was the big clash between the Top two from last season. And what a match it was with Bryan McWhirter's team racing into a 5-2 lead only to be pinned back with the hosts winning the next four in a row. The next two were shared with St Comgalls now leading 7-6. But the experience at the back end for Five Plus One showed as Ellis Martin and Bill McIlroy Sr gave their team an 8-7 lead to take the match into a play off frame. It was a fitting end though as up stepped St Comgalls Dean McDonagh to sink the final black of the night to finish the match at 8-8 and both teams a hard earned point each. Alex Irvine's Blues had a Bye this week.
