It was back to League action tonight after the Christmas break and result of the night must go to Alex Irvine's Blues who easily seen off fourth placed Ibrox by 11-4 to make it three points out of four against the Rangers Club team this season. Session scores for Blues were 3-2, 4-1 and 4-1. St Comgalls remain in second spot after putting in another great performance, this time away to Q.Club. Alphonsus McIlwaine's side won by a more than convincing 11-2. Q.Stars kept up their title challenge coming away from Thatch Rockets with a hard earned 9-6 win. Q.Tips also stay in touch albeit via a deciding Play Off Frame win away to tenth placed Clonlee, never an easy hunting ground for Hugo Manson's lads. Lorraine's Flyers were busy in the Transfer Window over Christmas but they are still looking for their first points on the board after Jordan Peoples' Freewheelers came away from the Pigeon Club with a 9-6 success. Session scores were 2-3, 3-2 and 1-4. And last but not least League leaders Five stay top after a solid 10-5 win over Micky O'Boyle's Station Bar, the damage was done in the first two sessions 4-1, 4-1 and 2-3.
