We had a break from League action tonight as the Knock Out Cup Quarter Finals took centre stage in the Q. Club venue. And result of the night must go to Ryan Scott's Q.Club team who came back from 1-4 down against League leaders Five to record a great 8-6 win to take their place in the Semi Final draw. Gareth Fears was the hero of the hour reverse dishing in the fourteenth frame to seal the deal for Q.Club.
Hugo Manson's Q.Tips were first into the hat wasting no time as they stormed to an 8-0 whitewash of bottom side Lorraine's Flyers.
A fantastic match unfolded between Ibrox and Q.Stars, Ibrox raced into a 3-0 lead but by the end of the second session the scores were level at 5-5. Ibrox took Frame 11 but three on the trot including the all important fourteenth by Aaron Rolston sent Nick McClay's lads into the Semi Finals.
Last but not least, St Comgalls took their place after seeing off Freewheelers. Alphonsus McIlwaine's side stormed out of the blocks to lead 7-1, Freewheelers rallied to 7-4 but St Comgalls stalwart Anthony McCorry ensured a Semi Final spot for his team by winning Rack 12 for an 8-4 success.
The Semi Final draw will be made at our next Delegates meeting in the St Comgalls Club on Thursday 3rd January
Next Thursday 20th December we hold our annual Christmas Charity Turkey Shoot in the Q.Club. All welcome, may the best turkey win .. lol
