Nick McClay's Q.Stars and Ryan Scott's Q.Club battled out an exciting 8-8 draw in the derby match with session scores of 3-2, 2-3 and 2-3, Stars secured their point courtesy of a Ryan Marcus break and dish Play Off frame win. Michael Wilson's Ibrox side looked in trouble early doors when they trailed at Station Bar 3-2 after the first session, but a straight missed black by the railway side spurred the visitors into action and they reeled off nine racks on the trot running out 11-4 winners. Hugo Manson's Q.Tips had far too much tonight for the Blues and session scores of 4-1, 4-1 and 5-0 gave the hosts two comfortable points. St Comgalls wonderful season looked to be continuing as they entertained League leaders Five. The hosts led 2-0 but then hit a brick wall as Bryan McWhirter's side ran off nine frames on the bounce to guarantee the victory and open up a two point gap at the top of the table. Final score was St Comgalls 4-11 Five. The bottom two sides clashed in the Pigeon Club and it was Ali Law's Thatch Rockets who prevailed over Lorraine's Flyers winning each session 3-2 for an important two points. Third from bottom Clonlee won 10-5 at Freewheelers and in doing so leapfrog their opponents in the League table, a solid win for Francie Gribben's side.
