What another amazing night in the Q.Club sponsored Larne & District Pool League. League leaders Five entertained bottom team Lorraine's Flyers who had yet to register a single point on the League table with more than half the season gone. But incredibly that point is now confirmed after they stormed back from 0-4 and 5-8 down to force a Play Off Frame where Joe Bell duly delivered to secure an unlikely 8-8 draw. Meanwhile Q.Stars kept their title push on track moving into secomd spot after overcoming a determined Freewheelers side by 9-6 with session scores 4-1,4-1.1-4. Up in the Rangers Club Ibrox put last weeks disappointment behind them with scores of 4-1, 2-3 and 3-2 in a 9-6 victory over Q.Club. Blues' fantastic season continues. After defeating Ibrox last week they travelled to Station Bar and came away with both points courtesy of an impressive 10-5 win with session scores of 3-2, 4-1 and 3-2. It was tension all the way in the St Comgalls Club derby match as the hosts St Comgalls blew a great chance to close the gap on League leaders Five to one point. They led 4-1 but after the fifteenth rack was over trailed 7-8 and had to rely a Play Off Frame win by Anthony McCorry to salvage a point. Last but not least, Q.Tips stay very much in the hunt after a solid 12-3 win at home to Thatch Rockets. Session scores were 3-2, 5-0 and 4-1.
