In Week 7 of the Q.Club sponsored Larne & District Pool League a titanic battle unfolded in the Station Bar where Micky O'Boyle's side entertained Nick McClays Q.Stars. And when the final black of the night had been potted the points were shared in a pulsating 8-8 draw with Q.Stars maintaining their unbeaten start thanks to a Neil McKelvey Play Off frame win
Michael Wilson's Ibrox badly needed a result after last weeks defeat by Q.Stars. It wasn't looking good when Hugo Manson's Q.Tips raced into a 3-1 lead in the Rangers Club but Ibrox responded with a great run of six on the trot before winning the last session 3-2 for an overall win of 10-5.
St Comgalls remain unbeaten in second place after a home win against Alan Nicholl's Pigeon Club side Lorraine's Flyers even though they had a scare early on trailing 3-2 after the first session. Paul Smyth's side eventually hit top gear running out 11-4 winners.
Ryan Scott's Q.Club side registered their third win of the season, an 11-4 home success over Francie Gribben's Clonlee. Session scores were 3-2, 5-0 and 3-2.
League leaders Five were untroubled also winning 11-4. Bryan McWhirter's team had session scores of 4-1, 4-1 and 3-2 over Jordan Peoples' Freewheelers.
Blues fine season continued with Alex Irvine's side moving up to fifth position with a game in hand after a hard fought 9-6 home win over Ali Law's Thatch Rockets. Trailing 5-6 Blues had to win the last four racks of the match to secure both points.
