It's now official. Thatch Bar are 2013/2014 League Champions. The 10-5 home win over Station Bar completed a fantastic League and Cup "Double" for Bryan McWhirter's team. It is a well earned success and the question being asked is can anyone break their stranglehold next season ? To the match now and Station Bar tried their best to spoil the celebrations, They led 3-2 after the first session and only trailed 5-6 with 4 to play. But the last 4 frames all went the way of the hosts including the all important Frame 14 which was won by Colin Montgomery Sr to give Thatch the title of Larne & District League Champions 2013/2014. In the race for 2nd spot, Saints comfortably seen of Feathers also by 10-5 (4-1, 3-2, 3-2). They now trail No 1 Club by a single point with both teams having two remaining games. Gers consolidate 4th position by winning 9-6 away to No 1 Blues with session scores of 2-3, 3-2 and 4-1 and Ibrox stay 5th after seeing off St Comgalls 11-4 (4-1, 3-2, 4-1). Highfliers got a welcome 2 points after beating No 1 Reds 10-5 (4-1, 3-2, 3-2) in the Pigeon Club whilst Thatch Rockets overcame bottom team Larne FSC by 10-5. Dhu had a big 12-3 home win over 2nd bottom team LIPS. No 1 Club had a bye this week.

Race for 2nd
In the above mentioned race for 2nd, both teams still have everything to play for. With Thatch winning the "Double" the League Runners Up will also be invited to enter the NIPA Champions of Champions event on June 29th. It could possibly go right down to the final fixture of the season when both teams collide in the St Comgalls Club. Fixtures as follows -
