What a fantastic display by the Thatch Bar Pool team. Bryan McWhirter's league leaders destroyed Gers by a resounding 13-2 with session scores of 5-0, 5-0 and 3-2. Thatch only now need 4 points from their last 4 games to become 2013/2014 League Champions. No 1 Clubs great season continues as they consolidate 2nd position after a 10-5 away win at Larne FSC, Barney Hylands and William Irvine both bagging hat tricks. Shock result off the night was a fantastic win for No 1 Blues away to 3rd placed Saints. The young Blues led 6-4 after the 2nd session and held their nerve to win the last 3-2 for a memorable result helped by a Lee Gribben hat trick. Ibrox got back to winning ways after losing 4 in a row, they beat LIPS 11-4 with session scores of 5-0, 5-0 and 1-4. Scott Hutchinson was best for Ibrox with a fine hat trick. Honours were even between Dhu and Station Bar as they battled out an exciting 8-8 draw (3-2, 3-2, 2-4). Hosts Dhu trailed 7-8 but Sean Davidson was their hero of the hour winning the 16th and final frame of the match. Best for the Railwaymen was Mickey O'Boyle with 3/4. Thatch Rockets had a good 9-6 away win to No 1 Reds and last but not least St Comgalls had one off their biggest wins of the season comfortably seeing off Highfliers 11-4 in the Pigeon Club.
